Vortex Venom 1–6×24 SFP AR-BDC3 MOA is a versatile low-power variable optic for shooters who want one sighting system for rapid target acquisition at 1× and more controlled aiming up to 6×. The XD™ Optical System, fully multi-coated lenses and wide field of view deliver a clear, high-contrast image, while the included throw lever allows fast magnification changes even when wearing gloves.

Exact model and mounting: this is the Vortex Venom 1–6×24 SFP, SKU VEN-1601, with an illuminated AR-BDC3 (MOA) reticle and 30 mm tube. It must not be confused with the Vortex Strike Eagle 1–6×24. A mount is not included; compatible 30 mm rings or a 30 mm cantilever mount must be selected for the rail and firearm platform.

AR-BDC3 (MOA) – speed, aiming point and BDC references

What you should know about the reticle

AR-BDC3 combines a fine 1 MOA centre dot with a 16.625 MOA segmented circle for rapid centring. The BDC references are tuned around the ballistics of common 5.56 mm loads in AR-15 configurations and provide aiming references out to 650 yd.

SFP calibration at 6× For correct use of the BDC subtensions on this SFP model, set the riflescope to its maximum 6× magnification.

Practical note: actual impacts at the BDC references depend on the ammunition, barrel length, muzzle velocity, zero distance and atmospheric conditions. With another calibre or configuration, confirm the holds at a shooting range and prepare a verified ballistic reference for your setup.
